DescriptionWe are currently reviewing candidates for the position of Director of Distribution, Northeast USA for a major food manufacturing and processing company. This position and company will greatly enhance a persons career and personal development.
The company is national in scope. The Director will reside in, and manage the activities of distribution and transportation service for the Northeast and New England sector.
A synopsis: The Director is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and maintaining economical and efficient transportation services for the DSD (Direct Store Delivery) business operations. The Director assists Plant Managers and Distribution Managers (the direct reports) in assuring that the local distribution departments are functioning properly.
The Director will work from a home office setting, and report to the NE headquarters. The position requires 60% travel.
Requirements: A minimum of a Bachelor Degree is requested. Must have experience in food products distribution, and DSD, and management experience in distribution, warehousing and transportation.
