Since the mid 90’s my client has become one of the leading third party transportation providers in the USA. They have gross revenue of approximately $100M per year. They have 7000 total truckers (5000 core truckers) that they use nationwide. They also have 9 offices scattered around the country.
Right now they are looking to hire Sales Directors, Sales Agents (1099), and Freight Agents (1099) who will be working out of their homes.
Sales Director (Salary + commission + benefits)
Sales Agents (1099 – Strictly Commission)
Freight Agents (1099 – 70/30 split)
So the first thing you need is a book of business. If you don’t have one, there isn’t anything I can do for you with these 3 jobs. Then you need to decide which of the 3 jobs fits your circumstances best and apply for that one. This job is the Sales Agent job. The other two are listed on this job site as well.
This is not a “cradle to grave job”. You handle the account development, assist with collections (if any), and relationship for the first few years.
To grow your business you will have to make a healthy quantity of ‘cold calls’.
You’ll need good organizational skills to work on new and existing business.
