  • Manufacturer of metal components for the construction industry is expanding the operation and has a newly created role for a Warehouse Manager
  • The operation is 250,000 square feet and ships approximately 200 truckloads a week
  • The operation is clean, organized and believes in promoting a safe, and efficient environment
  • If you have experience in shiiping and receiving and believe in continous improvement, then we want to hear from you

Responsibilities of the Warehouse Manager:
  • Will be responsible for managing a team of 30-40 non-union employees including shipping, receiving and logsitics
  • Negotiate prices and be responsible for managing a 250,000 sqf facility 200 SKU’s and $20 million worth of inventory
  • Analyze metrics, implement continuous improvement methdologies and lead meetings to build morale and streamline the processes
  • Work with the Operations Manager to ensure accurate inventory levels are in stock to ensure on time delieveries are maintained at 99% accurate
  • Develop processes and KPI’s to increase efficiencies
Skills/Experience for the Warehouse Manager:
  • Bachelor’s degree is required.  Ideally in Industrial Engineering, Leadership, Operations Management, Business, or similar  
  • 7+ years of warehousing / distribution management experience required.  Open on industry and must be in a high volume distribution / warehousing environment.
  • ERP experience required, ideally with SAP
  • Knowledge and experience in Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, Kanban, and Kaizen systems is preferred.
  • Experience regarding tracking KPI’s, metrics,  value added services, and safety.
  • Hands-on, strategic, self-motivated, and able to mentor and develop employees
