Job Description
Director of International Trade and Compliance
 
This position is responsible for managing and directing the customs and international trade/compliance strategy for the organization. Will ensure full compliance of all import and export activities.
 
  • Builds a Customs team capable of handling all required customs activities and maintain outcome of current Customs projects as part of Compliance program.
  • Ensures international trade and customs compliance for all locations with the existing of future customs licenses.
  • Manage all customs licenses and develop uniform policies and processes for all locations.
  • Manage the Global Network for the operational customs execution to guarantee duty drawback and identify other duty savings opportunities.
  • Independent communication and negotiation with customs authorities.
 
Must exhibit an understanding of the strategic plan through alignment of goals, objectives and work performance. Good understanding of the relationship between business plans and how the group role contributes to these plans. Exhibits a sense of responsibility and urgency toward goal accomplishment.
 
Ten to Fifteen years of experience in customs related jobs in a manufacturing environment. Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or similar related degree. MBA preferred. Relocation assistance available.
