Job Description
The National Sales Manager is responsible for securing new business for the company, helping to maintain and grow existing client relationships, and adhering to the administrative processes and procedures of the organization. This critical position is the link between the customer, the customer service team and the company.

The National Sales Manager should maintain a cooperative working relationship with all departments and work as a liaison between the customer and these departments to ensure successful, high quality delivery of our equipment and service. In order to completely participate in the achievements of the company and help grow the business the National Sales Manager must communicate concerns about policies, procedures, levels of service and/or personnel challenges directly to a Department Head. Their direct report is the VP of Sales.

Education and Experience:
College degree preferred but not required
Five to ten years audio-visual sales experience

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Correspond with potential clients through a minimum of 25 phone calls and 5 personal visits each week
2. Make every effort to retain and increase revenue and profitability on all personally booked accounts
3. Make sure that for all new customers we are also the official audiovisual and computer rental vendor for exhibitors
4. Complete all required sales reports, maintain a working ACT! database of clients and submit weekly reports as requested
5. Prepare professional, comprehensive and customized proposals for all qualified clients
6. Represent client at industry related networking events on a local and national level
7. Facilitate the turnover of new business to the account and customer service managers, and take responsibility for the communication of the clients expectations
8. Prepare sales estimates and receive senior management approval prior to sending out proposals
9. Review final billing to ensure all commitments and contractual terms are met and deposits are deducted (first year)
10. Obtain advance deposits for every client representing 50% of their estimated invoice
11. Perform administrative and other duties as assigned by the given deadlines

Measurement

The National Sales Manager will be evaluated on his or her ability to book new business and retain/grow existing business, and to achieve the profitability goals for each event. He/she will have to effectively communicate and help to exceed client expectations and perform in accordance with the duties and responsibilities listed above.
